Lombardy Yoga Club

Lombardy Running Club's Yoga Club offers a free 45-minute yoga class weekly. The class is open to all levels and feature a rotating variety of yoga styles. We currently are at Garfield Park on Sundays at 2:30pm. Donations to support LYC are welcome but not required, and can be made below.

Teacher’s Message

Hi I’m Melanie! Yoga teacher, casual runner, and a lifelong student. I came into this beautiful world of yoga thinking that the intention was to stretch and get a little more flexible. What I actually ended up finding was a practice that allowed me to reconnect with my body, quiet my mind, and come home to myself.

I believe in the healing power of breath and movement to radically transform our inner and outer worlds. Yoga, for me, is about freedom and authenticity—learning to move and live in a way that feels true.

My classes are welcoming and down-to-earth, and accessibility is at the heart of what I teach. Whether you are brand new to yoga or have an established practice, you are welcome here. You don’t need to be flexible — just a willingness to show up, move, and connect with your body in a way that feels right for you.

My hope is to make this practice feel approachable, grounding, and supportive. A practice that meets you where you are and helps you feel a little more at home with yourself. A warm smile, a laugh here and there, a collective grunt mid-pose, we do it all in community.
